I was born and raised in Starkville, MS.  In fact, Starkville has been my only home and I have loved the town of Starkville, the MSU Campus, and the people and students in “God’s Country” for a lifetime. I am a graduate of Starkville High School; I received a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and a Master of Education in Counselor Education from Mississippi State University.

I have served with the MSU- BSU as a Graduate Assistant and as the Associate Director.  I came to know Christ as Savior when I was a senior in high school. The mission statement of the BSU is “To know Christ and to make Him known” and as a MSU student I was challenged to love the Lord wholeheartedly and to carry the Gospel to all people.  Working with college students has been a life long joy!  I have seen God do amazing things in and through the lives of students.

I am married to Charlie (Retired - MSU Director of Campus Landscape) and we have one married son, Cooper.  Outside of being a parent, one of my greatest joys in life is being a grandmother to Catherine and Charlie, Cooper and Margo’s children. We are active members of First Baptist Church.  I enjoy cooking and entertaining students in my home, going on mission trips and projects, traveling to gardens and historical homes and sights in the USA (but especially in the South), interior decorating, antiquing and visiting family and friends. I love sports and I especially love watching SEC and college sports on TV.  I am a Bulldog fan through and through...I bleed “maroon and white”!  Charlie and I are season ticket holders to football, basketball, and baseball.

Go Dawgs!!!! Hail State!!!!  Ring those Cowbells!!!!!

Favorite passages of Scripture: Psalms139, Psalms 37:4-5, Proverbs 3: 5-6, Isaiah 41:10, John 3:16, 2 Timothy 1:12
