MISSION OPPORTUNITIES

Summer Missions
Summer Missions opportunities include overseas missions as well as missions in the United States and Canada. BSU's summer missions projects provide a great chance to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth while experiencing different cultures in all parts of the world.

Spring Break Missions
The BSU sponsors several Spring Break mission projects each year. Previously, the BSU has sent teams to New York City, Washington D.C., Oregon, Chicago, Panama City (to assist with Beach Reach), Colombia, and Mexico.

Local and Regional Missions
Organized throughout the year by the Church and Community sub-team, the BSU focuses on local missions events such as Habitat for Humanity, Soles 4 Souls, and with local nursing homes and churches. Additionally, family groups travel to various locations throughout the Southeast each Fall to help with service opportunities, ranging from helping sort clothes at a thrift store in Gulf Shores, Alabama, to working with a homeless mission in New Orleans, to distributing food to those in need in Memphis.

Christmas Missions
Each year the BSU offers a unique missions opportunity during the Christmas season. For the past several years, BSU students have participated in Christmas in China. Through Christmas parties, dramas, caroling, and one-on-one relationships, American university students shared the true meaning of Christmas with Chinese people.
