OUR MISSION
Welcome to the MSU BSU website! Thanks for checking us out! If you are not already familiar with BSU, please take a moment to learn about our purpose on the Mississippi State University campus. Our mission is to help students at MSU To Know Christ And To Make Him Known. Here are just a few of our ministries and activities:
To Know Christ
- PRIORITY is a praise and worship service held on Tuesdays at 6:15 pm. Topics and themes are chosen by students that are relevant to student life.
- NOONDAY is a weekly noon luncheon held on Wednesdays at 12:00 pm that includes a devotion.
- Small group Bible studies help develop a deeper knowledge of God. This is a good place to build spiritual accountability with other students.
- Retreats, state-wide conferences, and seminars
To Make Him Known
- Weekly nursing home ministry
- International Hour and conversation partners for international students
- Service and community mission projects in Starkville and the Golden Triangle region such as Habitat for Humanity
- Spring mission projects to places such as Guadalajara, Boston, New Orleans, Oregon State University, Beach Reach at Panama City, Washington, D.C., Cleveland, OH, Katrina relief on the Gulf Coast, and many other mission sites
- Summer missions projects in strategic mission appointments in the U.S. and around the world
- DiscipleNow leaders for area youth groups
- Traveling worship band (Drawn Together) that performs at DiscipleNows and other special events
- Drama team (Acts Too) that also performs for youth groups and other special events
- Evangelism teams that share the Gospel regularly on campus
